Can you build real referral relationships, lead a team, own the numbers, and keep the CRM from becoming a museum of good intentions? We need someone who can build credibility with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, managed care partners, community organizations, and other referral sources. Just as importantly, you need to turn those relationships into a healthy pipeline, successful admissions, and sustainable census growth. This is a hands-on leadership role. If your idea of business development is collecting business cards and sending a "great meeting you" email three weeks later, this probably will not be your happy place. You will lead a team, set strategy, study what is working, fix what is not, and work closely with our internal departments to make sure good opportunities do not disappear somewhere between the handshake and the start of care.
YOU WILL OWN
EVO New York's annual and quarterly business development strategy Referral, admission, census, and revenue growth goals Relationships with priority referral partners across the New York market The referral pipeline from first contact through admission and operational handoff The performance, development, and accountability of the business development team Clear territories, activity expectations, follow-up standards, and weekly priorities Accurate CRM information, forecasts, and regular reporting to leadership Market intelligence on competitors, payer trends, referral patterns, and expansion opportunities Outreach practices that meet EVO's ethical, legal, privacy, and compliance standards
HOW WE WILL KNOW IT IS WORKING
Qualified referrals and successful admissions are growing Conversion is improving and fewer opportunities are falling through the cracks Active census and revenue are meeting agreed goals EVO's referral network is becoming broader, stronger, and less dependent on a small number of sources The CRM tells the real story without anyone having to chase down five people for an update The business development team knows what it owns and delivers consistently New clients are handed off cleanly to the teams responsible for starting and supporting care
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
Many companies send business development into the market with vague instructions to "go grow." This role comes with real ownership, direct access to leadership, measurable goals, and close partnership with the operational teams responsible for turning referrals into service. You will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and have a meaningful voice in where EVO focuses, which opportunities it pursues, how the team is structured, and what needs to change when the numbers are not moving. We are looking for someone who wants the visibility and influence of a Director role and is also perfectly comfortable rolling up their sleeves and doing the work.
COMPENSATION
$95,000-$110,000 annually, commensurate with experience This is a full-time, exempt leadership position with EVO Care Group. If you know that great business development begins with the relationship but is proven by what happens after the handshake, we would like to hear from you. EVO Care Group is an equal opportunity employer.

You Love:
Walking into a room where no one knows you and leaving with three legitimate follow-ups Building relationships that last longer than one lunch Coaching a team and helping good people become genuine rainmakers Knowing what is in the pipeline without needing an archaeological excavation Looking at conversion data and asking why opportunities are being won, delayed, declined, or lost Following up before anyone has to remind you Working across Intake, Enrollment, Clinical, Care Coordination, Operations, and Marketing Owning results, including the uncomfortable numbers Building something stronger instead of simply maintaining what already exists
