Job Description

A well-established company in the New York cannabis industry is seeking an experienced and driven Territory Sales Manager to support continued growth across an assigned New York territory. The ideal candidate has a strong background in account management, business development, and new customer acquisition. This person understands the New York market, is comfortable building relationships with retail partners, and thrives in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue throughout an assigned territory. Responsibilities Manage and grow relationships with existing retail accounts within the assigned territory Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and in-person visits Maintain a high level of customer service through timely and professional communication Build strong relationships with purchasing teams, retail management, and frontline retail staff Analyze sales and account data to identify growth opportunities and support account performance Help maintain product availability and identify opportunities to increase account sales Establish consistent ordering and purchasing cycles with retail partners Prepare and communicate relevant sales information to customers Conduct regular account visits and maintain a strong presence throughout the territory Educate retail teams on existing and new products Participate in retail activations, industry events, trade shows, and other sales-related events as needed Negotiate pricing and terms while supporting company margin objectives Monitor competitor activity and communicate relevant market insights internally Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams on territory strategy, product launches, and customer initiatives Consistently work toward territory revenue, account growth, and new business development goals Qualifications 5+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience Previous experience within cannabis, alcohol, beverage, CPG, or another related consumer products industry strongly preferred Knowledge of the New York retail market is highly preferred Proven experience developing new accounts through prospecting and cold outreach Strong account management and relationship-building skills Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and time management Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout an assigned New York territory Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$75,000
Commission:
