As part of Larkin Hospitality and the Marriott portfolio, our hotel serves business travelers, leisure guests, corporate groups, weddings, social events, and one of the nation's most dynamic seasonal markets, including Saratoga Race Course, SPAC, Skidmore College, and year-round tourism. We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Director of Sales who is passionate about growing market share, building lasting client partnerships, and leading strategic revenue generation. Position Summary The Director of Sales serves as the hotel's primary sales leader and is responsible for developing and executing strategies that maximize room revenue, group business, corporate accounts, catering opportunities, and market penetration while protecting ADR and profitability. This position partners closely with Revenue Management, the General Manager, and Operations to ensure the hotel consistently achieves budgeted revenue goals while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional networking abilities, analytical thinking, proactive selling, and a deep understanding of the Saratoga Springs hospitality market. Primary ResponsibilitiesRevenue Generation Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. Prospect new corporate, group, SMERF, government, sports, association, and leisure accounts. Maintain an active outside sales schedule throughout the Capital Region. Generate new business while growing existing accounts. Conduct hotel tours and site inspections. Negotiate contracts that maximize profitability while remaining competitive. Account Management Develop long-term relationships with local businesses and organizations. Maintain regular communication with key clients. Manage all sales opportunities through Marriott approved systems. Conduct proactive sales calls and appointments weekly. Participate in networking organizations, tourism groups, and community events.
