Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM for full-time job About the Company Our client is a growing US-based trucking and freight logistics company operating primarily in the Pacific Northwest. The company is at an active stage of market expansion and is building its sales function to accelerate growth across new lanes, verticals, and strategic accounts. They are a growing trucking operation running up to 50 trucks across the US. Role Overview Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and closing new freight and logistics accounts across the US market, with a primary focus on Oregon and neighboring states.
This is a hunter-first role:
the ideal candidate owns their pipeline, builds relationships with decision-makers, and turns qualified leads into long-term carrier-shipper partnerships. Sales manager will work closely with operations and leadership to ensure seamless onboarding of new accounts and report directly to the CEO. Key Responsibilities Prospect and qualify new shipper and freight broker accounts in the Oregon/Washington market and beyond Build and manage a structured sales pipeline from outreach through close Reach out directly via cold call, email, and in-person visits; build a consistent outreach cadence Conduct meetings, calls, and presentations with potential clients to communicate service value Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads (as applicable) Negotiate rates, lanes, and service agreements with new and existing clients Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure smooth account handoffs and service delivery Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and client interactions in the CRM Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and freight rate fluctuations to identify opportunities Develop and execute account plans for key target segments Report on sales KPIs, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to company leadership Required Skills & Experience At least 2-3+ years of professional experience in trucking, freight brokerage, or logistics sales Demonstrated ability to independently source, develop, and close new freight accounts Strong understanding of the US trucking market: lanes, rates, carrier/shipper dynamics Proficient in working with at least one CRM system (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) Self-driven, organized, and able to manage priorities without close oversight Nice to Have Existing book of business or network of shipper/broker contacts in the Pacific Northwest Familiarity with freight management software (TMS, load boards such as DAT or Truckstop) Russian or Ukrainian language skills (not required, but a plus for internal coordination)
