This property has a strong base of existing business and a proven track record of performance. The right candidate must be able to protect and maintain current accounts while aggressively identifying and converting new revenue opportunities . This is a hands-on sales leadership role for someone who understands the entire sales process from prospecting through contracting, account maintenance, and retention . We are looking for an engaged, accountable professional who understands that strong hotel sales performance requires consistent activity, relationship building, market awareness, follow-up, and collaboration with operations and revenue management. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on increasing room revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall market share. Maintain, strengthen, and grow relationships with the hotel's existing corporate, group, negotiated, project, crew, association, sports, government, and other key accounts. Consistently prospect for and develop new business through outside sales calls, telephone solicitation, networking, community involvement, digital prospecting, lead generation, and account research. Manage the sales process from initial prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, contracting, conversion, account maintenance, and renewal . Develop new accounts and revenue streams rather than relying solely on inbound leads or existing business. Conduct regular account maintenance and ensure key clients remain engaged, satisfied, and loyal to the hotel. Identify need dates, compression opportunities, displacement considerations, and market opportunities and develop strategies accordingly. Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive set, local market conditions, new developments, construction projects, corporate relocations, events, and other demand generators. Partner closely with the General Manager and Revenue Management team to ensure sales strategies and pricing decisions support the hotel's revenue and profitability goals. Understand revenue management fundamentals, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, pace, pickup, forecasting, segmentation, pricing, and competitive positioning. Participate actively in revenue strategy discussions and provide meaningful sales intelligence regarding accounts, demand, competitors, and market conditions. Monitor production by account and segment and take proactive action when business is underperforming or opportunities are identified. Prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and follow-up correspondence accurately and promptly. Maintain accurate account records, activities, production, traces, and pipeline information within the hotel's sales system. Conduct site tours and represent the hotel professionally to prospective clients and community partners. Attend networking events, industry functions, trade shows, community events, and other business-development opportunities as appropriate. Work collaboratively with hotel operations to ensure groups, corporate accounts, and key clients receive a strong overall experience. Meet or exceed established sales activity, production, revenue, and market-share goals. Provide ownership and hotel leadership with regular updates regarding sales activity, pipeline development, account production, challenges, and opportunities. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is: Highly motivated, competitive, and results oriented . A self-starter who does not require constant direction or follow-up. Comfortable being held accountable to measurable sales activity and revenue expectations. Experienced in both new-business development and account retention . Skilled at building long-term client relationships while continuing to prospect for new opportunities. Knowledgeable about hotel revenue management and able to understand how sales decisions affect overall hotel performance. Organized, responsive, persistent, and disciplined with follow-up. Willing to make outside sales calls, attend networking events, visit clients, and actively work the market. Comfortable picking up the phone, making introductions, asking for the business, and closing opportunities. Able to identify obstacles and develop solutions rather than allowing barriers to prevent progress. A strong communicator who can work effectively with ownership, hotel leadership, revenue management, operations, clients, and brand representatives. Someone who takes ownership of results and approaches the position with a strong sense of urgency. Qualifications Previous hotel sales experience required; Director of Sales or senior hotel sales leadership experience strongly preferred. Hilton experience is preferred but not required. Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding hotel sales and revenue goals. Strong understanding of hotel sales segmentation, account development, group sales, negotiated corporate business, and local market prospecting. Working knowledge of hotel revenue management principles and performance metrics including ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, pace, pickup, and market share. Experience with hotel sales and property-management systems preferred. Strong written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining highly organized and responsive. Availability to attend occasional networking or client events outside normal business hours as business needs require. Success in this position will be measured not only by activity, but by results — including account retention, new account development, revenue growth, market penetration, responsiveness, relationship management, and overall contribution to the hotel's performance. The successful candidate will inherit an established book of business and will be expected to protect what has already been built while creating the next level of revenue growth for the hotel .
