Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and develop new business opportunities for our hotel. The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and securing business, developing strong client relationships, managing key accounts, and implementing sales strategies that support the hotel's revenue goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who understands the hospitality industry, enjoys building relationships, and is comfortable prospecting for new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts. Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue and occupancy goals. Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within assigned market segments. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, local businesses, organizations, groups, and other potential clients. Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, client meetings, and networking activities to generate new business. Manage existing accounts to strengthen relationships, increase production, and support client retention. Respond to sales inquiries and prepare proposals, contracts, and other sales-related correspondence in a timely and professional manner. Negotiate rates and agreements within established guidelines to maximize revenue opportunities. Monitor local market conditions, competitor activity, and demand trends to identify new sales opportunities. Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and follow-up documentation. Collaborate with hotel leadership and revenue management to identify need periods and develop strategies to increase business. Participate in sales meetings, community events, networking opportunities, and other activities that promote the hotel. Provide regular updates on sales activity, account development, opportunities, and results. Maintain a professional representation of the hotel and company when interacting with clients, guests, and community partners. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Previous hotel sales experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and maintain client relationships. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and consistently follow through on commitments. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to analyze market information and identify revenue-generating opportunities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn hotel sales and property management systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for outside sales calls and business-related travel, as required. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends for networking and client events.
