Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Automotive General Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive exceptional performance within our dealership. Duties Lead and manage the automotive sales team to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets through effective coaching, motivation, and performance management. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share, increase revenue, and enhance customer satisfaction. Oversee the entire sales pipeline from prospecting to deal closing, ensuring consistent follow-up on B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) leads. Build strong customer relationships by providing expert guidance on automotive financing options, upselling high-end vehicles, and customizing solutions to meet client needs. Conduct negotiations with clients to close deals efficiently while maintaining profitability; utilize advanced sales negotiation techniques to maximize outcomes. Manage inventory control and support inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels of passenger cars and other vehicle types. Utilize CRM software and other CRM-supported systems to track customer interactions, manage leads, analyze sales data, and optimize the sales process. Conduct outbound sales activities such as cold calling, public speaking engagements, and B2B outreach to generate new business opportunities. Support the development of the dealership's sales support functions by coordinating with finance teams on automotive financing options and ensuring seamless deal closing procedures. Foster a high-energy team environment focused on achieving aggressive sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive dealership sales management or related automotive industry sales roles with a strong track record of achieving targets. Extensive knowledge of automotive financing options, inventory management, retail math, and dealership operations. Exceptional negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual candidates are preferred. Demonstrated success in outside sales, B2B sales, retail sales, outbound calling, and upselling high-end vehicles. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a robust sales pipeline effectively using CRM systems supported by technical support teams. Experience in customer relationship building through effective client communication, public speaking engagements, and customer service excellence. Leadership capabilities in managing a diverse sales team while fostering professional development and motivation. High level of organizational skills with proficiency in retail math, inventory control, and dealership operations management.
