Job Description

About Clark EcoEnergy Clark EcoEnergy is a fast-growing leader in commercial solar installation, service, maintenance, reinstallation, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. We're still in growth mode — and we're looking for a driven leader who wants to build something big rather than maintain the status quo. If you're a high-energy go-getter who thrives on autonomy, hates being micromanaged, and wants massive upside as we expand, this is your opportunity to join at the ground level. Job Summary We're seeking a results-oriented Operations and Business Development Manager who will simultaneously optimize our service and installation operations while aggressively driving revenue growth. You'll lead field teams, streamline processes with our AI and CRM tools, build strategic partnerships, qualify high-value leads, and close commercial solar and BESS projects. This is not a role for someone who wants to coast — it's for a proactive leader who sees the massive potential in scaling a nimble, innovative solar company and wants their compensation and career to grow right alongside it. Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Build, coach, and lead the service/installation teams (technicians and support staff) with a focus on performance, safety (OSHA, NABCEP, NEC), and efficiency. Leverage AI detection and automated CRM to optimize scheduling, job execution, quality control, and recurring maintenance contracts.
Drive key metrics:
on-time completion, customer satisfaction, margins, and scalability. Oversee inventory, compliance, and coordination with roofing/electrical partners for removals, reinstallations, and upgrades on 100kW-3MW+ systems. Business Development & Growth Personally pursue and close high-potential AI-generated and referral leads into signed contracts. Cultivate and expand strategic partnerships with roofing contractors, facility managers, electricians, and other referral sources across the region. Develop and execute aggressive growth strategies to rapidly expand our commercial project pipeline and recurring revenue. Prepare proposals, conduct client presentations, negotiate deals, and turn opportunities into wins. Stay ahead of market trends, incentives, and competitors move to keep Clark EcoEnergy positioned for continued expansion. Qualifications and Requirements 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar/renewable energy operations or business development, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Proven success in commercial solar PV and BESS projects (installation, service, or sales). Strong knowledge of CRM/AI tools, electrical systems, grid interconnection, and commercial project management. Confident communicator and closer — comfortable making outbound calls, presenting to decision-makers, and negotiating. Valid driver's license with clean record; willingness to travel regionally (up to 40% overnight). No college degree is required for a person with proven track record and entrepreneurial spirit. NABCEP certification is preferred. High initiative, strong organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset. Preferred Skills Experience scaling service teams and using data-driven tools in a fast-growth solar environment. Background in B2B partnership development within construction, roofing, HVAC, or energy sectors. Deep familiarity with commercial incentives, permitting, and market dynamics in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast. Proficiency with monitoring software (SolarEdge, Enphase) and proposal tools. What We Offer Base salary $118,000 - $130,000 Performance bonuses and commissions on closed deals and team results, with accelerators for exceeding targets. Significant growth upside — as Clark EcoEnergy scales, your earnings and leadership role can grow substantially Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) with match; paid time off; professional development support (including NABCEP). Company vehicle, tools, PPE, and technology. Real autonomy in a lean, innovative company where your ideas and hustle directly impact success — no corporate bureaucracy holding you back. If you're a driven leader ready to forge your own path, drive rapid growth, and reap the rewards as we expand, we want to hear from you. This is a ground-floor opportunity with massive long-term upside for the right go-getter. Based in Lancaster, PA (with regional travel to
