This role focuses on proactively soliciting, negotiating, and managing group business while ensuring alignment with Marriott brand standards and Milestone Hospitality's operational goals. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, results-oriented, and experienced in group sales within a branded hotel environment. Sales & Revenue Generation Proactively solicit group business (corporate, SMERF, association, and social groups) to achieve and exceed assigned room night and revenue goals. Respond to group leads through Marriott systems (including CI/TY, GXP, and MARSHA) in accordance with brand response time standards. Prepare and negotiate group contracts, rates, concessions, and attrition clauses while maximizing profitability. Conduct site inspections and sales presentations for prospective group clients. Maintain and grow existing accounts while developing new group accounts. Account Management & Service Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned group accounts from initial inquiry through handoff to operations. Ensure accurate and complete group details are entered into the property management and sales systems. Partner with Operations, Events, and Revenue Management teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings. Monitor group pick-up, room blocks, and cut-off dates; take proactive steps to optimize performance. Strategy, Reporting & Collaboration Participate in weekly sales meetings, revenue strategy sessions, and forecast reviews. Track sales activity, goals, and production through required reports and systems. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and local demand generators. Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and community functions as needed. Brand & Company Standards Adhere to Marriott brand standards, sales processes, and service culture expectations. Support Milestone Hospitality initiatives, policies, and performance standards. Maintain a high level of professionalism and brand representation at all times. Qualifications Minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in group sales. Experience with Marriott systems (CI/TY, GXP, MARSHA) strongly preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends for client events. Education Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to travel locally for sales calls and client meetings.
