With successful operations throughout California and Florida , we are expanding into Pennsylvania and are seeking an experienced, driven, and relationship-focused Business Development to lead the growth of our newest 48-bed detox and residential treatment facility in Scranton. Position Summary Business Development Director is responsible for driving census growth by developing and maintaining strategic referral relationships throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding regions. This individual will represent The Best Treatment Center with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm while expanding our referral network among healthcare providers, hospitals, behavioral health organizations, employee assistance programs, managed care organizations, legal professionals, and community partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, competitive, organized, and excels at building long-term business relationships that result in sustainable admissions growth. Essential Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve and exceed census goals. Identify, establish, and maintain referral relationships with: Hospitals and Emergency Departments Detox and Residential Facilities Behavioral Health Providers Therapists and Private Practices Physicians and Primary Care Providers MAT Programs Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) Insurance Case Managers Criminal Justice and Drug Court Professionals Veterans Organizations Colleges and Universities Community Organizations and Nonprofits Conduct daily face-to-face meetings with referral sources throughout assigned territories. Present educational presentations regarding addiction treatment services. Attend networking events, conferences, and professional associations. Collaborate closely with Admissions, Clinical, Executive Leadership, and Marketing teams to maximize conversion opportunities. Maintain accurate CRM documentation of all referral activities and follow-up. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and referral data to identify growth opportunities. Develop strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen community presence and brand recognition. Ensure all business development activities comply with HIPAA, ethical marketing practices, and applicable state and federal regulations. Serve as a positive ambassador for The Best Treatment Center in every interaction. Qualifications Minimum of 3 - 5 years of successful behavioral healthcare or substance abuse treatment business development experience preferred. Established referral relationships within Pennsylvania behavioral healthcare markets strongly preferred. Demonstrated success growing admissions and referral partnerships. Strong presentation, networking, negotiation, and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative leadership team. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states as needed. $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
