POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and developing new and existing client relationships for Paradigm Productions Group. This position combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on business development in the audio visual production and live events industry . The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of live event production, audio visual technology, staging, lighting, video, scenic elements, and production services, along with the ability to understand a client's objectives and develop a complete production solution. The Sales Manager will identify new business opportunities, cultivate long-term client relationships, prepare proposals and estimates, negotiate contracts, and work closely with the production and operations teams to ensure a successful transition from the sales process to event execution.
ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIESSales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies designed to increase company revenue and profitability.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new clients and business opportunities within the corporate, entertainment, hospitality, convention, association, and live event markets.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, venues, meeting planners, agencies, producers, and industry partners.
  • Generate new business through networking, industry events, referrals, cold outreach, client meetings, and other business development activities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, event objectives, budget, and production requirements.
  • Conduct client presentations and sales meetings, both in person and virtually.
  • Prepare professional proposals, estimates, scopes of work, and production concepts.
  • Follow up consistently on proposals, leads, and opportunities to move prospects through the sales process.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms while protecting company profitability.
  • Meet or exceed established sales and gross-profit goals. Audio Visual Production Sales
  • Sell complete audio visual production solutions, including but not limited to: o Audio systems and sound reinforcement o Video and projection o LED displays and video walls o Lighting o Staging and scenic elements o Cameras, IMAG, and video production o Show control and presentation systems o Event technology and production support o On-site technical labor o Full-service event production
  • Understand technical production requirements and translate client needs into practical production solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and production personnel to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Review venue requirements, event specifications, production schedules, and technical riders when applicable.
  • Understand equipment capabilities, labor requirements, transportation, setup, show operation, and strike requirements sufficiently to develop accurate estimates.
  • Stay current with emerging AV technologies, production trends, equipment, and industry standards. Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process.
  • Establish trusted, long-term relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, and follow-through.
  • Maintain regular communication regarding proposals, deposits, scope changes, cost increases, scheduling, and final reconciliation.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and provide additional services.
  • Address client concerns professionally and work with internal teams to resolve issues quickly. Project Development & Handoff
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Producers, Operations, and Technical Directors during the transition from sale to production.
  • Ensure all sold services are accurately documented and communicated to the production team.
  • Provide complete and accurate scopes of work, estimates, schedules, equipment requirements, labor requirements, and client expectations.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings as necessary.
  • Communicate approved changes in scope and pricing to the appropriate internal personnel.
  • Maintain ownership of the client relationship while supporting the production team through event completion when appropriate.
  • Participate in post-event reviews and identify opportunities for future business. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate estimates and proposals that achieve company revenue and margin objectives.
  • Monitor sales opportunities, proposal status, bookings, and projected revenue.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales pipeline information.
  • Assist with forecasting future sales and revenue.
  • Coordinate with management regarding deposits, payment schedules, credit requirements, and account status.
  • Ensure all client-approved changes and additional services are properly documented and communicated.
  • Work with accounting and management to ensure accurate final billing and reconciliation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the audio visual, live events, entertainment, staging, production, hospitality, or related industry .
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of live event audio visual production.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and develop appropriate production solutions.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and financial awareness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/business management software.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and operations teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required. Preferred
  • Experience selling full-service corporate or live event production.
  • Existing relationships within the event production, corporate events, convention, hotel, venue, agency, or meeting-planner industries.
TRAVEL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires travel to client meetings, venues, conferences, trade shows, industry events, and live productions as needed. Travel to Paradigm Productions Group headquarters in Leesburg, Florida may also be required. The Sales Manager should expect occasional evening, weekend, and extended-hour responsibilities associated with client meetings, site visits, industry events, and live productions.
COMPENSATION
    Base Salary:
    $70,000-$100,000 annually , depending on experience, qualifications, industry knowledge, and demonstrated sales performance.
      Performance-Based Bonuses:
      Eligible for additional bonuses based on individual performance, sales achievement, gross-profit performance, new business development, client retention, and overall company performance.
      • Additional compensation opportunities may be available based on achievement of established sales and profitability goals.
      The specific compensation package, bonus structure, and performance expectations will be established at the time of employment and may be adjusted based on company needs and performance.
