Job Description

Job Overview The Business Development Manager•Data and Automation Solutions leads Well Master's Data and Automation Solutions (DAS) growth in the United States, building the US sales pipeline, channel relationships, and new accounts across all major US oilfield basins. This role is designed to evolve: it starts business-development-first (prospecting, uncovering large-scale opportunities, and managing channel/partner relationships) and shifts toward Account Manager responsibilities, owning day-to-day relationships, renewals, and customer satisfaction, as the book of business this person builds grows. The role is remote, but must be based in a major US oilfield market and within reasonable driving distance to a major commercial airport to support frequent basin travel and coordination with the Well Master headquarters team in Golden, CO. This person represents DAS and works consultatively with the customer translating DAS product and services offerings into a clear ROI story tailored to each operator's KPIs. The role is expected to be self-motivated and work independently while managing direction from the Director•Data and Automation Solutions, in close coordination with the DAS Applications Engineers and Technical Service Managers. Reporting to the Director•Data and Automation Solutions Responsibilities Uncovers and facilitates large-scale, repeatable multi-well opportunities with existing and new DAS customers across active US basins. Builds and manages a pipeline of new US prospects using Well Master's existing relationships, industry events, and basin-specific outreach; maintains 10+ qualified prospects at any given time. Represents DAS at key US oilfield automation forums, conferences, and trade shows. Develops account-specific ROI presentations and case studies that translate DAS's value proposition into each operator's KPIs. Provides pre-sales technical assistance, product education and demonstrations. Develops quotations and negotiates contracts; closes sales by agreeing to terms and conditions as approved. Coordinates with the Applications Engineers and Technical Service Managers on well evaluations, site visits, and commissioning support to keep trial timelines moving. Owns the day-to-day commercial relationship with active US DAS accounts. Manages and reports on the CRM pipeline with monthly stage updates to DAS leadership; tracks and submits personal sales statistics for period reviews. Completes proactive customer "good will" calls and after-sales support outreach to protect renewal and referral pipeline. Responds to all inquiries and sales requests within specified timeframes. Cross-trains and shares basin-specific customer insight with Global Business Development and field teams to keep the full DAS value proposition consistent across geographies. Writes and submits sales tickets and CRM records accurately and on time following Well Master procedures. Participates in continued education on DAS product updates and evolving sales techniques. Handles multiple customer accounts and trial-to-commercial conversions simultaneously across a wide geographic territory. Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating remotely with minimal day-to-day oversight. Presents professionally and credibly to customers ranging from field operators to executive decision-makers. Ability to make presentations and convey complex technical subjects to an audience of one or twenty. Strong analytical skills; able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical field staff (Applications Engineers, Technical Service Managers and Field Technicians) to keep customer commitments on track. Strong business acumen to effectively communicate and deliver DAS's value proposition to customers and internal stakeholders. Disciplined use of CRM tools to track pipeline, forecast, and report accurately to leadership. Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with excellent oral and written communication. Oil & gas sales or business development experience required; artificial lift, automation, SCADA/RTU, or oilfield technology experience strongly preferred. Experience selling SaaS, subscription, or other technology-licensing models a plus. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50-75%) to customer well sites, basin offices, and industry events. Must reside in a major US oilfield market and within reasonable driving distance of a major airport. Maintenance of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record required.
