Job Description

Our common goal

You will create new project opportunities and build a self-generated pipeline for Vitra across North America, identifying future workplace projects and engaging clients at an early stage of their decision-making process. Working closely with architects, designers, dealers and internal teams, you will help position Vitra as a preferred partner before specifications are defined. This role is based in New York and contributes to strengthening Vitra's presence across key market sectors. Annual target compensation $186,000 to $220,000. Your impact in the role Create new project opportunities and build a strong pipeline across priority sectors including real estate, finance, professional services, legal, technology, creative industries, luxury, cultural institutions and higher education

Identify target companies through direct outreach, networking, referrals and market intelligence

Detect workplace relocations, renovations and transformation initiatives at an early stage and position Vitra before specifications are established

Build and maintain relationships with workplace, corporate real estate, facilities, procurement and executive stakeholders

Engage with architects and designers to support project development and create Vitra specifications

Qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, timing, budget and commercial potential and introduce the appropriate dealer partners

Coordinate stakeholders throughout the project journey and maintain accurate pipeline, forecast and KPI reporting in Salesforce How you can convince Several years of successful business development or consultative sales experience, ideally within contract furniture, commercial interiors, workplace, real estate or a design-oriented B2B environment

Proven ability to generate opportunities through prospecting, market intelligence and relationship building

Strong understanding of workplace and corporate real estate decision-making processes, including collaboration with clients, procurement teams, architects, designers and dealer networks

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, qualification and pipeline management skills

Self-motivated, resilient and commercially minded approach with experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce

Fluent English language skills and legal authorization to work in the United States
