Job Description
An established logistics company is looking for a high-energy, results-driven Sales Leader to take ownership of new business development and help elevate our sales performance. This role is for someone who brings urgency, confidence and leadership - a professional who knows how to build a pipeline, close deals, and build and motivate a team through clear expectations and accountability. What You'll Do:
As our Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading growth while building, managing and developing the sales team. This is a "hands-on" leadership role - you will also be responsible for selling and developing your own book of business.Key responsibilities include:
Identify and generate new sales opportunities through targeting, outreach and relationship development Recruit, hire and build a strong sales team with clear expectations and accountabilities for goals, pipeline growth, and performance Manage the proposal process from Lead generation through successful close Develop your own book of business Review sales activities and prospective customers with management to ensure alignment with company strategy, forecasting, business plans and pipeline development Collaborate with team and management on trends in the logistics spaceWhat We're Looking For :
Minimum 20 years of sales experience relating to transportation = experience with freight payment and audit and TMS solutions are a plus Proven experience recruiting and leading a sales team with measurable successful results Strong sales skills - prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing Must live in the Chicago area (city or surrounding suburbs) - this requires being in the office and engaged (Hybrid work environment) Travel required (as needed) This Role is NOT a fit if you are : Looking for a "maintenance management" position (we need a builder) Uncomfortable holding yourself and others accountable Looking for a role where leads are handed to you (this is a growth-driving position) Not willing to recruit, hire and develop salespeoplePay:
$150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per yearBenefits:
