Job Description
District Restaurant Manager - Multi-Unit Operations Leader We are a family-owned restaurant group with four locations currently operating with a new concept restaurant on the way. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on District Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, develop our teams, and help drive continued growth and excellence across all locations. This is not a desk job. The ideal candidate will be fully trained in every aspect of our operation and lead by example, working alongside team members when needed while maintaining accountability for operational performance across all restaurants. Position Summary The District Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations at the different locations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, food quality, team development, and operational consistency. This individual will serve as the primary leader for restaurant management and staff, utilizing servant leadership principles to build a positive culture, develop future leaders, and create an environment where employees can succeed. The District Manager must be equally comfortable coaching team members, resolving customer concerns, reviewing financials, and making strategic operational decisions. Although there will bound to be situations where you'd need some flexibility with your schedule, all and all this could be a position that's more like a 9-5 then a typical G.M. restaurant job. Key Responsibilities/Operations Management Oversee all daily operations Ensure consistent execution of recipes, food quality, presentation standards, and service procedures. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational excellence across all restaurants. Monitor labor, food costs, and operating expenses to meet financial goals. Conduct regular restaurant visits, audits, and performance reviews. Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, guest experience, and profitability. Leadership & Team Development Lead through servant leadership, coaching, support, accountability, and positive reinforcement. Build a strong culture focused on teamwork, hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Develop shift leaders Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations. Address employee concerns professionally and effectively. Create a high-performing, positive work environment with strong employee retention. Staffing & Human Resources Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees. Manage employee performance and conduct corrective action when necessary. Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially. Develop training systems and ensure all team members are properly trained and certified. Manage employee scheduling across multiple locations. Coordinate staffing levels to ensure efficient operations and labor cost control. Oversee employee offboarding and termination processes when necessary. Payroll & Administrative Responsibilities Enter payroll accurately and on time. Monitor labor percentages and staffing efficiency. Maintain personnel records and training documentation. Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies. Prepare operational reports and communicate results to ownership. Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives exceptional service and a consistent experience. Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally. Monitor online reviews and customer feedback. Implement initiatives that improve guest satisfaction and loyalty. Financial Accountability Manage restaurant profitability and key performance indicators. Monitor sales trends, labor costs, food costs, and operating expenses. Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Drive sales growth through operational excellence and team engagement. Qualifications 3+ years of multi-unit restaurant management experience preferred. Strong leadership and team development skills. Experience managing scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, and employee performance. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and locations simultaneously. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on restaurant environment. Ability to lead by example and work in all operational positions when necessary. Experience with POS systems, labor management, and restaurant financial reporting.
