Part-Time Curator/Director of Art Sales Shasta Phoenix Maitland, FL Job Details Part-time $1,000 - $3,000 a month 17 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Professional art or design Full Job Description Overview Looking to hire an individual who would be both a part-time curator for a major art collection as well as a director of art sales. www.korshakcollection.com The curator position requires organizing museum exhibitions, negotiating terms of those exhibitions, writing descriptive labels of the artworks, working with packing, shipping and insurance companies, as well as ensuring overall preservation of the works of art. The collection travels to museums 2-3 times a year. In a separate capacity, the individual will also be in charge of selling art from other art collections. This requires first analyzing the artwork which is available for sale by describing its condition, history, and then determining its sales price. Next, the duties involve fulfilling orders for individuals who purchase artwork. Most of the art sales take place online, but the duties also involve traveling to three art conventions per year.
