We are seeking an experienced, driven, and hands-on Sales Manager for our Replacement Window Division to lead and develop our in-home sales team. The Opportunity This is not a desk-only management position. The Sales Manager will be actively involved in the day-to-day development and performance of our sales representatives through coaching, ride-alongs, call disposition reviews, role-playing, training, one-on-one meetings, and consistent performance management. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving lead conversion, developing individual representatives, maintaining accountability, and creating a positive, competitive, team-oriented sales culture. The ideal candidate combines strong sales leadership with a coaching mentality and understands how to use data, process, training, and accountability to improve performance. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing in-home sales team. Establish clear individual and team expectations, goals, and performance standards. Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and performance-development meetings. Perform field ride-alongs to observe sales presentations and provide actionable coaching. Review appointment dispositions, outcomes, and follow-up activity to identify coaching opportunities. Conduct role-playing and skills-development exercises focused on discovery, presentation, objection handling, value building, and closing. Identify individual strengths and performance gaps and develop specific improvement plans. Recognize strong performance while maintaining clear and consistent accountability. Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop new sales representatives. Help create a culture of teamwork, healthy competition, accountability, continuous learning, and improvement. Sales Training Develop and facilitate structured sales meetings and training programs. Create sales meeting curriculum, presentations, role-playing exercises, and coaching topics. Reinforce a consistent and repeatable sales process across the team. Coordinate product-knowledge training with manufacturers and internal resources. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training and adjust based on team performance and results. Sales Performance & Accountability Monitor individual and team performance, including: Sales revenue Close/conversion rates Average contract value Lead performance Gross margin and profitability Discounting Appointment results Follow-up activity Cancellation rates Identify performance trends and proactively address areas requiring improvement. Establish action plans for representatives who are not meeting expectations. Hold the team accountable to company sales processes, CRM requirements, pricing policies, and customer communication standards. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback. Sales Strategy & Execution Partner with company leadership to develop and execute sales strategies designed to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives. Translate company sales goals into measurable individual and team expectations. Analyze sales data, lead performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop strategies to improve lead conversion and maximize opportunities from company-generated leads. Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and overall effectiveness of the sales process. Bring a Lean and continuous-improvement mentality to sales operations by identifying inefficiencies and developing better processes. Forecasting & Reporting Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide leadership with visibility into expected performance. Monitor pacing against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Analyze sales trends and provide meaningful insights rather than simply reporting numbers. Utilize CRM and reporting tools to monitor activity, follow-up, pipeline, and results. Communicate performance, opportunities, concerns, and recommended actions to company leadership. Customer Experience Ensure sales representatives deliver a professional, consultative, and customer-focused sales experience. Help representatives understand customer needs and recommend appropriate window and door solutions. Assist with escalated customer situations when necessary. Reinforce accurate expectations regarding products, installation, pricing, scheduling, and the overall customer experience. Ensure proper communication and handoffs between Sales, Operations, Installation, Service, and other departments. Industry & Product Knowledge Maintain a strong understanding of replacement windows, doors, installation methods, product applications, and industry best practices. Stay current on product innovations, competitive products, market trends, and changes within the home-improvement industry. Develop strong working relationships with manufacturer representatives and industry partners. Participate in manufacturer training, industry events, and other professional-development opportunities. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of successful sales-management experience, preferably leading an in-home sales team. Experience in the replacement window, home improvement, remodeling, or related in-home sales industry strongly preferred. Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals. Proven ability to coach and develop sales representatives with different experience and skill levels. Strong understanding of sales metrics, conversion rates, forecasting, profitability, and performance management. Ability and willingness to spend meaningful time in the field coaching representatives. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate while also maintaining accountability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable having difficult performance conversations when necessary. Analytical mindset with the ability to turn sales data into actionable coaching and strategy. Experience utilizing CRM systems and maintaining strong CRM discipline. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Window and door product and installation knowledge is highly desirable.
