The Senior Director, Global Events & Engagements is a newly created strategic and operational leadership role responsible for defining, scaling, and delivering a world-class global events function that drives measurable business impact. This role oversees the full lifecycle of internal and external events—including industry conferences/tradeshows, customer and executive programs (customer advisory board and sporting events), partner activations, and employee-focused experiences (Leadership Summit)—ensuring alignment with company objectives, brand positioning, and growth strategy. As a senior leader, this role sets the vision for transforming events from execution-focused activities into an integrated, experience-led marketing and engagement capability that contributes directly to pipeline generation, relationship development, employee engagement, and business performance. This role is accountable for establishing event strategy (including messaging), managing budgets and vendor relationships, driving executive engagement, and implementing measurement frameworks that track ROI, engagement, and pipeline influence. The Senior Director also advances the use of technology and data to scale programs globally and enhance both attendee and stakeholder experiences. Position is hybrid and based out of our GXO office in Charlotte NC, High Point NC, Greenwich CT, or Fort Lauderdale FL. What you'll do on a typical day: Pipeline creation by aligning the event portfolio to target accounts, buyer priorities, and GTM campaigns, the role drives demand generation programs and high-value engagements that create qualified pipeline through industry events, executive programs, and proprietary experiences. Conversion improvement through curated, high-impact event experiences (customer programs, executive briefings, and targeted engagements), the role reduces buying friction, strengthens stakeholder alignment, and improves conversion at critical decision points at events. Commercial acceleration by designing events as relationship-building and selling environments, the role equips commercial teams with opportunities to engage buyers in meaningful, stage-specific interactions that accelerate deal velocity and increase confidence in complex sales cycles. Performance optimization through clear measurement frameworks, including pipeline influence, engagement, and ROI, the role continuously evaluates event performance and optimizes the portfolio to maximize business impact and revenue contribution. Responsible for the global events strategy, portfolio planning, and execution budget, including oversight of agencies, vendors, and enabling technologies required to deliver and scale world-class event experiences. Budget scope and investment levels to be defined in alignment with business priorities.
