As VP, Treasury Management Sales Officer, you'll be a key sales leader supporting our Commercial Banking team and driving meaningful growth across Metro Detroit. The Opportunity:
We are seeking a VP, Treasury Management Sales Officer to join our Commercial Banking team in Metro Detroit, MI. This is a highly visible, client-facing sales role focused on generating new core deposits, implementing treasury management services, and helping grow our commercial presence across the market.
What You'll Do:
Commercial Banking Partnership & Business Development:
Develop and execute a long-term, proactive calling plan focused on existing clients, prospective clients, centers of influence (COIs), and referral sources to consistently generate new deposit and treasury management opportunities. Partner and collaborate with Commercial Lenders to develop and expand commercial relationships through joint prospect, COI, and client calls, with a strong focus on capturing the full relationship. Conduct portfolio reviews and schedule/conduct consultative conversations to uncover deposit and treasury needs, deepen existing relationships, and identify opportunities for additional accounts and services. Proactively develop new commercial relationships and core deposits through networking, referrals, centers of influence, and direct business development activities. Partner with local branches to build confidence around business relationships and account opening and create seamless experience for business clients. Maintain a robust deposit and treasury pipeline, managing opportunities from initial prospecting through account opening, treasury implementation, and relationship expansion.
Treasury Solutions & Client Advisory:
Lead discovery conversations with business owners, CFOs, controllers, finance teams, and other key decision-makers to understand their business model, cash-flow cycle, transaction activity, risk profile, and operational needs. Develop and present customized deposit and treasury solutions and proposals that help businesses effectively hold, collect, manage, protect, and deploy funds. Provide expertise across commercial treasury and payment solutions, including ACH, wires, commercial online/mobile banking, Remote Deposit Capture, lockbox, Positive Pay with Payee Match, account reconciliation, and merchant/payment solutions. Provide expertise in liquidity and cash management strategies, including cash concentration, sweep and zero-balance accounts, payables and receivables optimization, business continuity, payment-risk strategies, and emerging digital treasury and payment technologies.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field. Five or more years of progressive experience in financial services, including treasury management sales, business development, business banking, commercial banking, and/or related discipline. Proven track record of achieving sales targets, generating new deposit relationships, and driving revenue growth. Strong working knowledge of commercial deposit products and treasury management services, including cash management, liquidity solutions, and payment processing. Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on deposit and treasury opportunities. Strong understanding of treasury-related fraud risks, controls, and payment best practices. Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with Commercial Lenders, branch teams, and other business partners. Strong knowledge of the Metro Detroit business community and an established network within the market is highly desirable. Results-driven and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficient in Microsoft 365. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to initiate and embrace change. Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and ability to work in a team environment.
