Business Development Engineer (Junior/Entry Level) Oak Ridge, Tennessee, United States Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Business Development Engineer (Junior/Entry Level) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN. Home office location will be in Oak Ridge, TN. This position is full time in-office with occasional business travel. This position is an opportunity for professional development and growth in a DOE subcontractor office. The right candidate will be organized, flexible, able to manage confidential information, proactive, and possess a strong desire to learn and grow within Business Development.

Founded in 2003, Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC (Edgewater) is a New Mexico-based small business headquartered in Los Alamos, NM, with five (5) regional offices across the United States to locally support their growing presence at project sites. Edgewater has a proven track record and is a trusted provider of fixed-price construction projects, engineering, and technical services for the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), National Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Canadian Commercial Nuclear Industry, and private sector commercial contractors involved in nuclear, high-hazard, or complex operations. Edgewater's experience and guidance ensure that its customers perform hazardous operations, comply with regulatory requirements, and maintain the highest quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include: Support development of costs, schedules and technical proposals for firm fixed price construction projects in the Government Services Division. Work closely with teams of subcontractors, engineers, and project management personnel to develop turnkey solutions for complex nuclear construction projects. Work with an energetic and diverse team to grow current business and participate in identifying new potential clients and partnerships. Work closely with clients and internal executive leadership to drive business directives. Create and implement strategies to achieve company goals and expand the current market footprint. Present and demonstrate technical solutions to current and potential clients. Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships. Generate proposals and presentations. Monitor and report on business development activities to internal leadership. Participate in industry events and conferences (will require occasional travel).
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline required Relevant internships or co-ops highly preferred 0 to 3 years of work experience Experience utilizing AI models Strong written and presentation skills Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships Strong desire to be in a Sales Engineering or Business Development role Strong work ethic - highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must be a US Citizen If you are interested in being considered for this position and your resume clearly outlines your relevant experience for this position, please follow the application steps via our website: www.edgewatertech.net/careers We look forward to hearing from you!
