Job Description

Background SPS designs and manufactures high efficiency process equipment, primarily for the oil and gas industry. This process equipment combines the mechanical design requirements of the ASME Code with proprietary internal components sized and configured to meet the requirements of each customer's individual application. SPS' applications department is responsible for selecting, designing, sizing, and quoting process equipment; this includes producing informational datasheets and commercial proposals for customer requests. In addition, the applications department is responsible for the development of design standards, guidelines, and tools to assist engineers. Position Summary Schultz Process Services (SPS) is seeking a motivated and technically minded Business Development Manager with 3-5 years of experience to support growth for SPS's high-efficiency process equipment business. This role is focused on developing relationships with oil and gas customers, understanding customer applications, and positioning SPS's engineered equipment solutions, including ASME Code-related designs and proprietary internal components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable discussing technical requirements, coordinating with SPS applications and engineering teams, and helping translate customer needs into accurate datasheets, proposals, and commercial opportunities. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and execute strategic plans to expand SPS's customer base and market presence for engineered process equipment in the oil and gas industry. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Work with SPS applications and engineering teams to prepare and present customer-specific datasheets, proposals, bids, and commercial agreements. Collaborate with SPS applications, engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure equipment selections, sizing requirements, and customer expectations are properly communicated and met. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM software. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote SPS services. Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals. Provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports to management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of business development, sales, account management, or applications-related experience in engineered process equipment, oil and gas equipment, ASME Code vessels, or related industrial technical products. Experience with oil and gas producers, midstream operators, refineries, EPCs, fabricators, or industrial customers purchasing engineered process equipment is highly preferred. Technical aptitude with the ability to understand process conditions, equipment applications, customer specifications, datasheets, sizing inputs, and proposal details related to SPS equipment. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Proven ability to build long-term client relationships. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed. Preferred Skills Knowledge of oil and gas production facilities, refineries, chemical plants, midstream facilities, process vessels, separation equipment, filtration, or other engineered process equipment applications. Experience reviewing contracts, bids, and scope of work documents. Strong networking and prospecting abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
