Finance Position Overview:

Lead efforts to build and funding partnerships supporting the One For All Foundation and the Office of Commissioner Rodney Ellis (OCRE).

Identify, engage, and cultivate financial relationships with corporations, nonprofits, philanthropic foundations, and government agencies. Secure partnerships for capital campaigns and programming benefiting Precinct 1 residents. Report to the Executive Director of the One For All Foundation and the CFO of OCRE. Lead a team focused on securing philanthropic, federal, and state grant funding aligned with OCREs agenda. Requires occasional attendance at evening and weekend events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive agreements, MOUs, and strategic funding partnership proposals in collaboration with Law and Compliance Officer. Research and secure federal, state, and private funding opportunities to enhance OCRE programs. Identify grant and philanthropic opportunities across OCRE divisions; ensure execution aligned with funder expectations. Track and evaluate success of partnerships and grants using datadriven metrics; provide reports to leadership. Manage reporting and financial oversight for grants and partnership initiatives; ensure compliance with donor and funding requirements. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for grant acquisition and management. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in a related field.

Experience Requirements:

Ten (10) years of experience in funding partnerships, business development, grant management, or cultivating strategic relationships. Five (5) years of prior experience in local government or nonprofit. Demonstrated experience developing and managing capital funding initiatives supporting parks, trails, transportation, drainage, and other public infrastructure projects. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Extensive knowledge of publicprivate partnership development, funding mechanisms, and stakeholder engagement. Strong sense of urgency for work supporting OCRE constituents. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholders. Expertise in identifying, applying for, and managing federal and state funding opportunities. Dynamic leadership style that builds trust and motivates others. Ability to assess problems and identify solutions collaboratively. Proficiency in project management and CRM tools.

Work Schedule:

Full-time Monday-Friday Evenings and weekends required at times.

Work Environment:

Standard office work; may require remaining stationary for extended periods at a computer workstation. Some duties performed at external event locations. Occasional travel within Harris County.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. Subject to kneeling, crouching, walking, sitting, twisting, standing, carrying equipment, and reaching. Ability to support field production and event coverage, including movement between indoor/outdoor sites and working in varying weather conditions.
