Permian Desired Traits:
Returns Driven, Austere, Customer Focused, Integrity What is Business Development? As part of a basin-focused sales team, the Business Development role is responsible for the sale of wellhead and rental equipment to new and existing customers within their assigned territory. In this role, you will: Perform professional presentations and demonstrations of company products Penetrate targeted accounts through visiting operator office and field locations Overcome objections of prospective customers Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales reports Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold calling if necessary Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory/customers in a time-efficient manner Use marketing data to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness Maintain accurate records including reports, including but not limited to, weekly expense reports, CRM data, etc. Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services by monitoring competition through the gathering of current marketplace information on pricing, products, competitor activities, and additional research Travel required 25% of the time (must possess a valid driver's license and meet the company driver requirement to operate a company vehicle while traveling) Perform other duties as assigned
Required and Preferred Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Travel weekly to operator field locations throughout the region Work and entertain clients during unconventional hours Know wellhead equipment and completion operations, preferred Network of operator and service contacts within the assigned territory Convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas Know opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers Have a professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance Be self-motivated, self-directed, bring high energy, and have an engaging level of enthusiasm Maintain a high work ethic
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear Must be able to operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools up to 30 lbs. (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices. If mechanical assistance devices are not available, utilize a team lift.) Clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noises Work in outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, wet, and exposed to dust, fumes and other airborne particles, and loud noises
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent of three years' experience in progressively responsible sales position This is a high-level overview of the main job responsibilities; however, it is not meant to be an exhaustive list of duties.
