Report to:
VP, Sales•US & Canada Role Summary:
The ideal candidate is located in the DFW area and can be regularly present at the Rockwall, Texas factory, in addition to frequent travel. This role is responsible for growing the Costco business across North America, as well as select Grocery and Natural accounts in the United States.Key Accountabilities:
Identifying and executing on opportunities to manage and expand the sales of ChocXO across all the retail channels throughout Canada and US which includes working with our broker and distributor networks, as appropriate, to maximize sales and distribution opportunities. Manage relationships with key account headquarter buyers, our broker, and supporting teams. Leverage data to uncover key insights and build effective sales presentations that will allow us to optimize the business and drive sales. Develop and maintain sales forecast to ensure optimal order fulfillment. Strategic & collaborative building of an annual trade promotion calendar for regions across retail customers. Achieve volume targets within authorized funding. Setting strategic direction, performance expectations & managing all appointed brokers and distributors to achieve quality distribution in targeted accounts. Ensuring timely execution on new item introductions, schematic implementation, and promotional programming to succeed in the marketplace Analyzing distribution reports to determine market coverage & opportunities for future growth. Utilizing existing resources to run sales reports & analysis to support future sales initiatives and decisions Attending trade shows for the brand and developing sales opportunities.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Frequent travelling to Canada and within USA travel as required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Minimum 8-15 years CPG experience in the Natural & Grocery Channels with direct key account or channel responsibility. High level experience in the Grocery Channel (Loblaws, Walmart, Costco, Sobeys, Metro etc.) with CPG and premium product selling background in chocolate preferred. Established relationships and demonstrated success working with key retail accounts along with the leading brokers and distributors (Horizon, Purity Life, Coremark etc.), servicing these channels. Proven success in sales leadership with respected CPG companies with a broker business model serving diverse retailers, including direct key account or channel responsibility. Proficiency in Data Tools (Retailer Portal), Excel & Trade Analytics (selling price, margins, financial modelling, and inventory forecasting, etc.). Experience in the expansion of distribution for core items, new categories, & addressing the complexities of direct & distributor serviced retail distribution, while maximizing results at the lowest possible overall cost. Has demonstrated success delivering aggressive sales goals, conceptualizing strategic initiatives, and building efficient "best-of-class" selling organizations. Experience in trade marketing, category management, sales planning and/or brand marketing roles to provide a strong foundation in these business fundamentals. Strong planning & organizational skills along with excellent interpersonal, written/ oral communication and presentation skills, including full competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).Pay:
$165,000.00- $190,000.
