This role focuses on developing relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and other industry partners while identifying and pursuing new project opportunities. The ideal candidate understands construction project lifecycles, is comfortable working in a relationship‑driven environment, and can translate technical capabilities into winning business opportunities. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Generate new business opportunities across structural, mechanical, and industrial, heavy commercial , healthcare, institutional and HVAC construction projects Develop and maintain relationships with owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers Identify and pursue upcoming bid opportunities through market research, networking, and industry intelligence Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations to support business development efforts Drive revenue growth within an assigned territory Strategic Growth Develop and execute a growth strategy aligned with company capabilities and market demand Identify market trends, project pipelines, and competitive opportunities Define pursuit strategies for major projects and strategic accounts Collaboration & Project Support Work closely with project managers, estimating, and leadership teams to support bids, proposals, and closing efforts Assist with preconstruction efforts, early client engagement and prequalification processes Ensure smooth handoff from sales to project team Marketing, Networking & Industry Presence Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations Support development of marketing materials highlighting construction capabilities and project experience Leverage CRM and sales tools to document client interactions and project updates CRM & Reporting Maintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM system Provide weekly reports on sales activity, client meetings, and project pursuits Qualifications 5+ years of business development or sales experience in construction (structural, mechanical, or industrial preferred) Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred (Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or related field) Strong understanding of construction sales cycles and project‑based selling Proven ability to build long‑term relationships within the construction industry Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Willingness to travel for client meetings, job sites, and industry events Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools Knowledge of social media and digital marketing within the construction industry is a plus
