About us: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Director to join our team at Kamco Services, a trusted leader in providing security solutions since 1976. In this role, you will be responsible for selling a range of systems, including security alarms, commercial fire alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control systems to businesses and residential clients. We offer intelligent technology, smart automation, and life safety devices, as well as monitoring, service, and installation services. Our client base includes high-end residential properties and sophisticated commercial environments that require fully customized security, life safety, and automation solutions. Sales conversations are consultative and focused on design, trust, and long-term relationships rather than transactional selling.
Role philosophy:
This is a department-of-one sales role designed for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial professional. You will have full ownership of sales operations—prospecting, closing, process development, and growth strategy. This position offers the opportunity to build, refine, and lead Kamco's sales function from the ground up. You will operate as Kamco's sole sales representative and sales strategist, responsible for executing day-to-day sales activities while also developing the systems, processes, and strategies that will support long-term growth.What We're Looking For:

You are looking for a structured sales environment with scripts, processes, and daily direction. You need close supervision or management to stay on task. You are uncomfortable owning outcomes end-to-end. You prefer "order-taking" sales roles. You prefer narrowly defined responsibilities and are unwilling to wear multiple hats. You are looking for a short-term position rather than an opportunity to build something long-term. This role is best suited for a self-starter who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and ownership. If you are looking for a plug-and-play sales job with predefined systems, scripts, and a large support team, this position will likely not be a good fit. Key Responsibilities Generate new business leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other prospecting strategies. Close warm leads from call-ins inquiring of our services. Serve as the sole owner of the sales function, managing all aspects of business development and revenue generation. Develop sales processes, best practices, and performance metrics. Create, propose, and manage a commission structure tied to performance and company growth Conduct site assessments and demonstrations of security systems for potential clients. Returning all calls for inbound sales prospects on the same day. Work directly with ownership to shape sales goals and strategies. Close sales quickly and offer exceptional customer service throughout installation. Provide pre-sale and post-sale services in a way that enhances customer experience. Manage and track leads through the sales pipeline to conversion. Collect appropriate client information for new account generation. Report on leads, new jobs, pending sales etc. in weekly staff meetings. Attend local networking events. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the complete line of products & services.Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of sales experience Proven track record in sales. Motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset. Comfortable working independently with minimal structure Thrives in building and creating systems where none currently exist Willing to test, adjust and improve sales processes and approaches Motivated by long term growth and personal impact A strong knowledge of electronic components and systems is preferred Integrity - one of our core Company values. A valid DCJS Registration is preferred. Candidate will need to pass a federal background check. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Sales focus with an energetic and positive approach. High sense of urgency in addressing customer requests. Willingness to wear multiple hats. Excellent organization and time management skills. Must be proactive in completing jobs and tasks with little to no direct supervision. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Negotiation skills with strong understanding of sales concepts. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach to lead generation and sales execution. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Pay:
