Proposal Lead Engineer

SUMMARY

The Proposal Lead Engineer supports the Business Development Team with the development of compliant proposals including implementation of capture strategies, and supports customer engagement related to product development. Reports to the Solutions Architect. WHAT YOU WILL

DOLeads engineering teams with development of technical approach development, risk assessment, compliance matrices, hardware utilization matrices, and project plans (WBS) and costsCoordinates proposal reviews and closing of action itemsHandles complex proposals and ensures proposal complianceAligns and uses Karmans portfolio to meet customer requirementsEngages in customer technical discussions and extend technical support to business development teamWrites, compiles and manages all proposal documents, requirements, and checklistsDevelops business development documents including proposal templates, RFI responses, and customer presentationsImplements Business Development team strategies to capture opportunities Responsible for proposal log tracking and on-time proposal submittal

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING

FORPreferred Education:

B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field

Preferred Experience:

2+ years experience engineering at Systima or 5+ years engineering experience in space or defense industry.

Additional Preferred Experience:

Experience managing teams and/or projectsExperience with customer presentationsExposure to concept development, technology application, and program planningAbility to communicate effectively with both written and spoken formsAbility to develop, plan and execute programsMust be a U.S. citizen10-20% Travel Required
