Full-Time (40 hrs/week) About Us The Old Alcohol Plant Inn is a premier boutique destination in Port Hadlock, WA, offering historic charm, water views, and versatile spaces for weddings, corporate retreats, banquets, and group stays. We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Outside Event & Group Sales Manager to expand our regional client base and lead sales growth. Job Summary In this dynamic sales and account management role, you will be responsible for driving venue sales, corporate retreats, weddings, banquets, and group room bookings. You will oversee the client lifecycle from outbound lead generation and regional prospecting to venue tours, contract execution, and Banquet Event Order (BEO) detailing.
Note:
This position is launched under a 6-Month Performance Pilot designed to build a strong regional pipeline and reward top-tier sales execution. Continued full-time status beyond 6 months is tied to achieving revenue benchmarks. Key Responsibilities Outbound Sales & Regional Prospecting (50%) Proactively prospect corporate accounts, regional non-profits, government groups, associations, and tour/travel partners across Jefferson, Kitsap, and Clallam counties. Build and manage pipelines for weddings, retreats, banquets, and off-season room occupancy. Lead professional venue tours and present turnkey package solutions. Convert inbound inquiries and outbound leads into signed contracts and confirmed deposits. Engage with local chambers, tourism bureaus, and business partnerships to boost destination awareness. Client Detailing & Account Management (40%) Maintain a strict response time of under 24 hours for all inbound inquiries. Serve as the main point of contact through the planning process: finalizing guest counts, menus, timelines, room blocks, and billing details. Create and update precise Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Lead weekly BEO hand-off meetings with the Executive Chef and Event Captain 7-10 days prior to events. Pipeline Tracking & Alignment (10%) Track 100% of leads, site tours, and contract statuses in the CRM intake system (Tripleseat). Participate in weekly revenue pipeline reviews with General Management. What You DON'T Have to
Do Zero Physical Event Operations:
You focus strictly on sales, client relations, and administrative BEO creation. You will not be responsible for event setup/teardown, heavy lifting, AV staging, food/beverage service, or live on-site floor management during events. On-site execution is handled entirely by our Event Captain and banquet team.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2-3 years of proven success in hospitality sales, venue sales, group sales, or account management.
Communication:
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation abilities.
Organization:
Detail-oriented with a proven track record of managing multiple event timelines and drafting precise BEOs.
Mobility:
Ability to travel locally across Jefferson, Kitsap, and Clallam counties for networking and prospective client meetings.
Tech Skills:
Proficient with CRM/sales intake tools, web lead forms, digital scheduling, and Microsoft Office.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$65,000 annually ($5000.00/month paid bi-weekly).
Commissions:
Earned monthly on new room revenue (2%), group rooms (2.5
•3%), and event/catering net revenue (2
•4%).
Quarterly Performance Bonuses:
based on reaching and exceeding revenue and RevPAR goals.
Annual Bonus:
based on overall growth, RevPAR, market share, and guest satisfaction.
