Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision. Maintain knowledge of current promotions and upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases. Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as required. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Perform basic retail math to manage transactions effectively. Uphold company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience. Familiarity with retail math concepts and cash handling procedures. Ability to upsell products effectively to increase sales. Proficiency in using POS systems for transaction processing.
