Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections or store policies Handle cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times Upsell products and promote store specials or promotions to maximize sales opportunities Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area Conduct product demos when appropriate to enhance customer engagement and product knowledge Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via other communication channels Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers at shift end Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising practices is advantageous Experience with POS systems, retail math, and cash register operations is preferred Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team Join us as a Cashier and become part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
