Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product demos when appropriate. Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance the customer's shopping experience. Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring all cash register operations adhere to company policies. Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring accurate inventory levels through stock checks. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with bilingual customers and providing clear information about store products and promotions. Qualifications Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential. Strong basic math skills to handle transactions accurately and perform retail math calculations. Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone etiquette or in person. Supervising experience is a plus, particularly in overseeing cash handling procedures or training new team members. Ability to perform stocking duties and assist with product demos confidently.
