Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure products are well-organized and visually appealing Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling product demos Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and assisting with inventory management Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; grocery store experience is a plus Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide friendly customer service in a bilingual environment if applicable Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for team support roles Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team as a Cashier and become an integral part of creating memorable shopping experiences!
