9-5pm Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at a small grocery store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle cash transactions, assist with stock management, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently and accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area while ensuring that all stock is properly displayed. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in restocking shelves as needed and ensure that the store is well-presented at all times. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all patrons. Attention to detail in managing stock levels and maintaining store appearance.
