Beacon, formerly VTC Enterprises/LOVARC has been supporting adults with developmental disabilities since opening our doors in the 1960's. In this position, the Cashier independently performs cashiering duties in a base dining facility, handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent service. May also assist in basic food preparation and beverage service in accordance with military food service standards. Operates the cash register to process transactions, including ringing up sales, receiving payments, making change, andissuing receipts. Takes customer orders at the counter for dine-in, take-out, or serving line service, as required.Assists with basic food and beverage preparation, including brewing coffee, making tea, and preparing other beveragesin accordance with military guidelines. Qualifications Education and/or experience:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. One year's experience operating cash register is preferred. Experience in fast food service is preferred. Knowledge of food sanitation requirements and health code standards.Communication skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to remember oral or written instructions provided by others.Interpersonal skills:
