Responsibilities Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers. Handle cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at the end of shifts. Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain knowledge of store products, merchandising standards, and current promotions to inform customers effectively. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting. Demonstrate phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries. Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking and product replenishment as needed. Support supervising team members during busy periods or in their absence, contributing to a cohesive team environment. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively and clearly. Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers. Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or customer service is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of retail store product lines or merchandising standards is beneficial but not mandatory. Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team.
