In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, handling sales transactions and providing excellent customer service. You'll also assist with freight processing, stocking shelves, and ensuring the store remains organized and inviting. The ideal candidate is energetic, communicative, and eager to help customers find what they need while managing daily store operations smoothly. Duties Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail sales transactions. Handle cash, credit card payments, and cash drawer balancing with attention to detail. Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking incoming freight shipments to keep shelves well-organized. Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer shopping experience. Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers. Engage with customers using friendly phone etiquette and effective communication skills. Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and restocking as needed. Qualifications Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred. Supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus but not required. Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Strong basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations. Excellent communication skills and friendly phone etiquette to connect with customers effectively. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management practices. Ability to perform cash handling accurately and manage cash drawer operations responsibly.
