Responsibilities Operate the cash register accurately during retail sales transactions Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity Assist customers with product questions and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products as needed. Also includes sweeping, dusting and washing of windows. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction with their purchases Support store operations through phone etiquette, communicating clearly with customers and team members Experience Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Strong communication skills in English and Spanish; bilingual abilities are required for serving diverse customers; (in other words, must be bilingual and fluent in both languages) Demonstrated ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
