We are seeking a new Wine Guide to join the team. In this role, you will ensure each guest is greeted and sat for their desired tasting experience. You will pour and explain our wine and unique history in the region, serve and support in the dining room, and work closely with our chef team to create an amazing experience for all visitors. This is a full-time position based at our

Job DescriptionCreate and execute engaging, educational, and memorable positive guest experiencesResponsible for supporting all daily activities related to the Tasting Room operation such as general stocking and cleaning, tours, weekend lounge execution, outreach, and cooperation with all departmentsAssist in the achievement of financial goals including:

Tasting Room and Wine Society Lounge wine salesTasting Room merchandise and food salesTour Program signupsWine Society signup goalsPerform monitoring and stocking duties as assignedBe timely and punctual with regards to scheduling requirementsBe prepared to help other departments as neededGive tours as neededEnsure that the tasting room is tidy at all times (e.g. re-fold t-shirts, etc. as necessary).Assist in the development of a list of 50,000 non-club members to market to by coming up with innovative ideas to gather email addresses.

Maintain clean and tidy work areas, including:

Tasting Room

• all bar areas must be clear of unnecessary POS, flyers, etcTasting Room Office
• the shared desk area must be clear and available for employees to use as necessaryGarage
• keep clean and free of unnecessary items, ensure all back stock of shopping bags, merchandise, POS, etc. is organized and easy for staff to findWarehouse
• organization of the wine pallets must be done on a regular basis.

Coordinate with a forklift certified employee and the inventory controller to ensure inventory is accessible, neat, and orderlyResolve guest concerns/complaints using good judgment and tact. Elevate complaints to management when necessaryComplete the JUSTIN Educational Training programEducate and inform oneself of all new JUSTIN releases as well as JUSTIN library wines, viticulture, and winemaking techniquesAttend all TRM monthly and weekly meetingsQualificationsTwo (2) years of experience in a restaurant setting preferred but not requiredHigh School Diploma or GEDMust possess a passion for wine and the wine industryProven success working with othersExcellent communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levelsMust be able to communicate verbally and in writing in EnglishMust be able to perform basic calculations such as adding, subtracting and dividingAbility to carry out detailed written or oral instructionsAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerMust complete the JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery education program upon being hired

Pay Range:

$17.50

• $18.

50 plus tips. Final compensation is dependent upon skills and experience.
