Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing registers at shift end Upsell products and conduct product demos to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting Apply basic math skills for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts in a retail environment Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone Experience Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar retail environments Supervising experience is a plus, with the ability to oversee team members during shifts when needed Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills for engaging customers confidently and clearly explaining promotions or store policies Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, stock management, and grocery store operations is advantageous Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, pricing adjustments, and inventory management Join our team to deliver outstanding service in a lively retail setting!
