A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Job Description

We are looking for a PT/FT Tasting Room Lead to join our team! Tasting Room Lead is responsible for supervising and supporting the day-to-day operations to ensure excellent customer service, developing relationships that promote the sale of wine, wine club memberships and develops brand loyalty. Candidate must be an enthusiastic individual to work in our tasting room and educate guests on our winery history, our wines, and philosophy of our winemaking.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for guiding team toward its goals, see that all members of the team are productive, and resolve problems as they arise. Become a knowledge resource for General Tasting Room Associates. Promote sales and encourage guest to join the "La Familia" Wine Club Maintain in-depth knowledge about the family history, wines, and the vineyards Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales; processes returns, and discounts. Provide general tourist information and, in some case, more concierge type service, calling restaurants for reservations, assisting with appointments at other wineries. Provides work leadership to others through assignment of work, review of progress, monitoring of results and instruction. Inventory management and assist with proper with maintaining adequate inventory of wine and gift items. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required Our ideal candidate must be at least 21 years of age, be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time. Works great with team members, has a passion for and knowledge of wine and be able to work weekends and holidays as well as some events. High energy and excellent communication skills are a must as well as experience with POS systems and computer literacy.
