Job Description
ROOM SERVICE CASH ORDER TAKER
GENERAL SUMMARY Receive telephone orders from guests and enter them correctly. Ensure courteous, prompt and knowledgeable Order Taking of food and beverage orders to ensure total satisfaction of our guests' experience. Cooperates with and assists coworkers in achieving goals of the department. Follows all appropriate policies and procedures of the department while striving to improve the standard of operation.FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering the phone to take orders from guests in the hotel rooms.
- Display full knowledge of food and beverage available in the outlet. Suggestively up sell additional items.
- Correctly enter guest order into point of sale system.
- Complete cash transactions including: making change, counting the cash draw, and filling out daily paperwork.
- Help food servers set up their tables.
- Hourly Opera checks to maintain an updated amenity paperwork and track guest arrivals for on time delivery.
- Complete assigned daily and weekly tasks.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. ________________________________________QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
________________________________________EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
A High School degree of general education degree (GED) required; minimum of six (6) months to two (2) years of related experience required.COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class "A" gaming license.
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate.
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Tips Certification.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proficiency in using a cash register.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn basic software programs used by the Room Service Department.
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Possess the ability and desire to fulfill all guest requests and needs.
- The ability to remain calm and courteous in stressful situations.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shift.
- Complete cash transactions accurately.
