Cashier / Front-of-House Description We are looking to add a cashier / counter service role to our front of house team at Kitava's newest location, opening at 1699 N California Blvd in Walnut Creek (close to Walnut Creek BART and downtown Walnut Creek). RESPONSIBILITIES
Payment handling (credit card, digital payments, cash) Assist customers with ordering and purchases. This requires extensive knowledge of our menu, ingredients, and how the food is prepared (training provided) Operate Toast POS system (training provided) Assist in preparing and serving drinks and light food items to customers (training provided) Ensure customers receive their food and drinks in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner Ensure take out, delivery, and catering orders are packaged by our kitchen staff correctly, and handed off to the appropriate customer or driver Answer the phone and take orders Ensure front of house supplies are stocked, and the dining room tables, chairs, and floor are kept clean Any other responsibilities and tasks assigned to deliver outstanding service and a high quality dining environment
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent verbal communication skills Passion for interacting with people and providing great customer service Independent worker; can take direction without constant oversight Ability to learn quickly Problem solver with a positive get-it-done attitude Interest in healthy food and sharing it with others Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Legally able to work in the US Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish); fluent English is required We are a small and growing company that operates with the feel of a start-up.
