This role involves welcoming customers, processing transactions, assisting with orders, answering basic menu questions, and helping maintain a clean and organized front-of-house environment. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant setting. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Assist customers with orders, menu questions, and routine service requests. Process cash, card, and other approved payments accurately. Operate the POS system and follow established transaction procedures. Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests. Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with restaurant team members. Assist with dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders as needed. Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized. Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other front-of-house supplies. Assist servers and other restaurant team members during busy service periods. Support opening, closing, and routine daily restaurant duties. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures. Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate supervisor. Qualifications Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable learning POS and payment procedures. Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy. Able to remain organized during busy service periods. Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
