Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Conduct product demos when needed to highlight features and benefits of store merchandise Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves and maintain merchandising standards to ensure products are well-presented and accessible Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays to support store operations Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations essential for smooth transaction processing Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or training new staff Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations advantageous Experience in customer service roles that involve phone etiquette, upselling, and product demonstrations will set you apart
