Duties Operate cash registers using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments while maintaining precise cash register operations. Assist customers with their food orders at the deli counter, providing friendly service and upselling delicious products to enhance their experience. Prepare and assemble food items according to safety standards, including slicing meats, cheeses, and other deli products. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring sanitation standards are met in accordance with food safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation tasks and assist with basic food handling duties. Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction in a quick service environment. Requirements Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales transactions is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong skills in cash handling, processing cash transactions, and basic math are essential for accurate register operation. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures is required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities. Experience operating kitchen equipment and preparing deli or café-style foods is desirable.
