The Cashier at Juici Patties plays a key role in creating a positive dining experience by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every customer is served efficiently and courteously. This position is responsible for greeting customers, accurately taking food and beverage orders, processing cash and electronic payments, and maintaining an organized front counter area. The Cashier works closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly while helping to maintain the company's high standards for quality, cleanliness, and food safety. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. A successful Cashier contributes to customer satisfaction by creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every transaction is handled accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently. Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Answer customer questions about menu items, promotions, and pricing. Prepare beverages and assist with packaging orders as needed. Ensure orders are accurate before handing them to customers. Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and front counter. Restock supplies such as napkins, cups, condiments, and packaging materials. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. Follow food safety, hygiene, and company policies. Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation. Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset but not required. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, honest, and punctual. Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
