The Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient customer transaction experience within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for accurately processing customer payments, handling cash and electronic transactions, and providing exceptional customer service at the point of sale. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, managing repetitive tasks with attention to detail, and supporting overall store operations through janitorial duties and inventory assistance. The Cashier must be adaptable to a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of peak business hours and special events. Ultimately, this role contributes to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by combining technical cashiering skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in cashiering or customer service roles. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift items up to 50 pounds safely. Strong communication skills and phone etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the accommodation and food services industry. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated reliability and flexibility in scheduling. Basic knowledge of janitorial and cleaning procedures.
