If you love good bread, love people, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, we'd love to meet you! The role As a front of house team member, you are often the first person our guests interact with. You set the tone for their entire visit. You'll work the counter, run the pastry and bread racks, pour coffee, take orders, handle payments, and keep the floor and display looking impeccable throughout the day. You'll also become knowledgeable about what we bake — the flours we use, the fermentation, the seasonal offerings — so you can speak to it with confidence and enthusiasm. Day-to-day responsibilities + Greet and serve guests with warmth, attentiveness, and product knowledge + Maintain and merchandise the pastry, bread, and specialty goods displays + Prepare and serve beverages, pastries, bread, and brunch items accurately and efficiently + Process transactions accurately using our POS system; handle cash and card payments + Communicate pre-order and special requests between FOH and the kitchen team + Keep the counter, seating area, and retail floor clean, stocked, and visually sharp throughout the shift + Assist with closing duties: sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and end-of-day reconciliation + Support wholesale pickups, catering orders, and in-store events as needed What we're looking for + Genuine warmth and hospitality instincts + Curiosity and enthusiasm for artisan food and beverage + Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy rushes + Strong communication with teammates and guests + Reliability, punctuality, and pride in your work + Availability for early morning and weekend shifts Nice to have + Prior experience in specialty coffee, food retail, or restaurant service + Familiarity with artisan bread, pastry, or fermentation + Experience with Toast POS system + ServSafe certified or food handler's card + Bilingual a plus What we offer + Competitive hourly wage + tips + Generous staff discount + Paid time off and holidays + Opportunities for growth into lead and management roles + A warm, collaborative team culture Each day, our lifework is to make the highest quality product, to maintain excellence, to serve our community with our hands and our hearts and to work as a team with love and empathy.
