Job Summary Join our vibrant convenience store team as a Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient operator at the heart of our retail environment. Your energetic approach will ensure every customer has a positive experience, whether they're grabbing a quick snack or browsing our product selection. You'll handle all cash register operations with precision, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a welcoming shopping atmosphere. - 11:00pm (Close) Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with speed and attention to detail Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times Assist customers with product inquiries, offering product demos when applicable to enhance their shopping experience Upsell items and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, attractive store environment Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and addressing their needs promptly Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person, ensuring clear communication Conduct basic retail math to process transactions efficiently and accurately Skills Proficiency with POS (Point of Sale) systems for smooth checkout processes Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases Experience with grocery store operations, stocking, and product demos enhances performance in this role Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions Familiarity with upselling techniques to increase sales and promote store offerings This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow within the retail industry.
