Named for his daughter Marie, Bernard shares his passion for baking and French bread using the highest quality seasonal ingredients to create tarts, pastries and artisanal breads prepared, kneaded and baked on-site daily throughout the day. We use only 100% French Flour and French butter from the Normandy countryside in our baked goods. Marie Blachere Miami is looking to grow their team with a FOH Shift Leader.
General Description:
The FOH Shift Leader will lead enthusiastically with a focus on exceptional guest experience and results. Your responsibilities include being an example for all team members, supporting all front-of-house operations, and ensuring the ultimate guest experience. You are an important support to the General Manager and Operations Manager and provide oversight to areas of higher responsibility. Leadership Lead by example and be a role model for the standards and behaviors consistent with Marie Blachère values and culture. Successfully and consistently communicate team wins, priorities, best practices, and operational changes to deliver best-in-class execution. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Operational Duties:
Perform high-quality, hands-on floor leadership, including effective deployment of labor to maximize efficiency. Maintain food service and production levels by leading strong FOH execution. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure product availability. Accurately operate the POS register to complete transactions and handle cash. Efficiently restock beverage stations, grab-and-go items, and bathroom supplies as needed. Assist in receiving and stocking deliveries to ensure inventory levels are maintained. Assist in managing inventory on a weekly basis (counting, stock management) Ensures all bakery operations align with company standards for service and quality. This includes upholding all Bakery Policies, such as meal and break policies, timekeeping, uniform and presentation standards, and the bakery's mise en place to ensure a successful setup. Prioritizes effective communication and teamwork, demonstrating a sense of urgency and efficiency. This involves practicing "clean as you go," following proper receiving and ordering standards, and utilizing FIFO (First In, First Out) principles. Maintains compliance with Department of Health (DOH) standards, including proper handwashing, cleaning practices, and food storage and labeling procedures. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including new items as they are added, and communicates professionally and in a timely manner. Guest Experience Ensure the ultimate guest experience by maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality. Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally, seeking to resolve issues and improve service. Analyze guest feedback and implement changes to enhance the customer experience. Qualifications Proven experience in staff training and management within the food service industry Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team management Familiarity with food preparation and inventory control processes Experience with POS systems, including TOAST Background in casual dining environments Background with beer and wine service in Miami-Dade county preferred Knowledge of cash handling and customer service best practices
Compensation Compensation:
$26•$28 per hour (includes base pay + estimated tips) This role offers a base pay of $17-18 per hour, with an average of $9•11 per hour in tips. Actual tip earnings may vary and are not guaranteed. Please include a resume with your application We look forward to discussing with you!
